Summer Jobs at Rubber Ducky Resort & Campground/RDR Grill & Ice Cream

We are hiring! Rubber Ducky Resort and Campground Ltd will begin accepting employment application for 2025 summer jobs on  January 1, 2025. Interviews will begin in March/April. If you are looking for a fun, relaxed place to work, complete the application form below.  We are looking for staff for the following areas:

Cashier/Store area & Concession/Restaurant

These positions may overlap with some duties. Employees may have shifts as cashier, kitchen staff or combination. Preference for a specific area can be indicated on the application below

Cashier duties include but are not limited to customer service, handling retail sales in store area,taking food orders,  stocking shelves and maintaining an organized area, preparing ice cream orders for customers

Concession duties include but are not limited to prepping supplies and making food in RDR Grill & Ice Cream, maintaining a clean & organized area, customer service, taking food orders. Also includes cashier duties noted above.

Basic computer knowledge is necessary. Must be available to work weekends.

Minimum 14 years of age (under 16 will need Young Workers Readiness Certificate)

Housekeeping

Duties include but are not limited to customer service, cleaning of accommodations, restrooms and main building. Must be at least 16 years of age. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required. Most shifts are daytime and include weekends

Activities Assistant/Pool Area Attendant

Duties include but are not limited to providing excellent customer service, assisting with scheduled weekend activities, supervising pool area and enforcing pool rules,  working in bumper boats area, general grounds cleanup. Valid driver’s license required. Must be available weekends.

Evening Attendant

Duties include covering pools/hottubs at closing time,  general cleanup around campground and buildings, minor maintenance as required.  Quiet time enforcement / monitoring sites and common areas, light duty washroom refresh and garbage removal. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license, able to work with independently, lift 40lbs.

Combination Position

This position can  include shifts in a multiple areas: Concession/Store Area, Housekeeping, Activities and Pool Area Attendant.  Preferred areas can be selected on the application. Valid driver’s license required. Must be available weekends.

Grounds Maintenance

Duties include but are not limited to customer service, cutting grass/weedwacking, general landscaping and grounds maintenance, building maintenance, grounds cleanup. Valid Class 3 with air license an asset. Skid steer experience an asset.

Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our campground facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and grounds maintenance, equipment repair, and staff supervision. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work under pressure in a physically demanding environment.

Duties include but are not limited to planning, direct, and oversee the maintenance of campground grounds, buildings, and facilities. Repair and maintain equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are in good working order. Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed. Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, ensuring efficient and high-quality performance.

Qualifications -Experience with hand and power tools; good working knowledge in the operation, maintenance, and safety of small equipment. Experience working in custodial, landscaping, or similar maintenance roles.  Experience operating a skid steer and mini excavator is an asset. Previous supervisory experience required. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Minimum Class 5 driver’s license required; preference given to candidates with a minimum Class 3 license with air endorsement or willing to obtain. Criminal Record Check required before hiring (cost will be reimbursed, and employment is contingent on a clear record).
